After 11+ years working in more than 40 released games as programmer, Community Manager, designer and other roles at Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile -studio previously known as Digital Chocolate Barcelona or Microjocs-, recently founded my own indie studio Anarkade to create arcade games for consoles, computers and arcade cabinets.
The first Anarkade game will be the cyberpunk beat 'em up Rawal Rumble, that started as one of many prototypes that I slowly developed with 2 former coworkers during our free time in my previous studio including the popular pixel artist Elias Lozano, who still work in the game from time to time during vacations or some weekends. Now we have a 4th dev: the composer and sound designer Gabriel Garrid who is in charge of the game audio.
While working in multiple internal games and tools and mentoring or consulting external teams, we also share the old school gamedev expertise and local gamedev industry history to the new generations by supporting different gamedev related local universities, accelerators, industry events organizators, local gaming industry preservation associations, gaming related museum exhibitions or in case of Elias Lozano, directly via platforms like Tik Tok or Youtube.
We're also partnering with Factory Arcade and Wallcade to codesign different arcade cabinet and arcade stick related projects for our future games, that we plan to also offer to other pixel art / arcade indie dev teams.
