(Ready? 5, 6, 7, 8!) Woo! Met you at the arcade, and I gotta say It's been so long since I felt this You took a hold of my heart, from the very start And now I'm going mad for you You know that everything that I do it's all for you You're all I want Put your paws on my chest, sleep soundly to rest I wanna wake up next to you Meet me at the convention, baby We'll sing bad songs and go a little crazy People think that we got problems Maybe we do but we don't wanna solve em! You know that everything that I do it's all for you Yeah, my leash is yours Sink your fangs in my neck, let's have freaky sex Then go to sleep, do it again Every time that you leave, that you go away I cry a little, hope you could stay I dream that one day we could Save up all our money and get A cheap one-bedroom apartment in Yonkers And I will constantly annoy the neighbors And we'll get so many noise complaints because No dogs are allowed in the building But until then I'll quietly cry But until then I'll wanna die But until then we'll keep this up But until then we'll kiss and fu- Meet me at the convention, baby We'll sing bad songs and go a little crazy People think that we got problems Maybe we do but we don't wanna solve em! You know that everything that I do it's all for you We'll see each other soon (we'll see each other soon!) You know I love you so, I don't wanna go Anywhere if it's not with you

i wanna talk to the girl with the dark curly hair who i saw last night with a mysterious air she had a cup of coffee and she smiled i did not know if she had in a while i am shy and i didnt have it in me to speak o pretty stranger i dont know why but you looked back at me o pretty stranger i never got her name, she never got mine we exchanged no words, we just wasted time the stars aligned for maybe just a moment i couldn't stand to stay a minute i want to cry when i think of you, do you think of me? o pretty stranger i could try to be all that you want me to be o pretty stranger

She's boyish in a girl way, she's girly in a boy way I gotta have her in her car sitting right beside me We hold each other close and every moment's perfect It's a picturesque episode that should only exist in text By our teenage selves engaged in mediocre roleplay But I didn't know her then, I quit and she didn't But it's all okay, we're living the teenage punk fantasy That's a recurring theme that I bring up in conversation It's a sentence I like using and I think about it very much I'm technically still a teen but I've been counting down And every week I wanted to kill myself before I turned 20 But she showed me it's okay to be ten-teen And someday we'll grow up And someday we'll grow up And we'll have nothing else to show for it But our healed cuts And someday we will rot And someday we will rot And maybe we could rot together With a bit of luck And someday we'll grow up And someday we'll grow up And we'll have nothing else to show for it But our healed cuts And someday we will rot And someday we will rot And maybe we could rot together With a bit of luck

Don't ever make this stop I don't wanna lose the sunshine that gleams through the Car stereo as we listen to Up And we go up the state to your town where we draw on walls Do you think this striped shirt goes well with my striped thighs? Do you think I'll look pretty when I inevitably die? Let's go under a bridge and hang out by the creek Climb our way back up and slip and bleed out our knees! (solo!) I'm okay

Você é tudo que eu queria ser A inveja vira ódio Que dirijo pra mim mesma Tenho medo de te machucar Mas você fala que tá bem Então eu meio que me iludo E me deixo me largar Então eu corro pro banheiro E tento não chorar Você me manda um texto "I'm driving you home" Talvez cê tá cansada Ou sabe a verdade Que não aguento ficar Eu não te deixo pra casa me levar E mando um texto pra terminar E vou pra casa sozinha

about

To say that this year so far has been eventful would be a massive understatement.

For much of my teenage life, I've been something of a social hermit. I never had many friends in high school and most of my socialization was online. Over the course of my second semester in college though, I've learned to overcome that. Joined two clubs and met a lot of people and was given the opportunity to properly express myself in a way I never could in high school. I'm in one of the best spots I've ever been in life, and I think the music I've been making reflects that.

It would be irresponsible and misleading of me to summarize these past couple of months without mentioning the second love of my life: Bea. We met because of music club and it took us a couple of months to hit it off, but when we did everything clicked and felt right. It feels like every time we meet up it's exciting and eventful and makes me feel alive like I've hardly felt before. She was a huge driving force for many of the songs on this EP, not to mention she plays bass on most of them.

The name of the EP comes from the fact I recently started wearing striped shirts. I was directly inspired by Bea's tendencies to incorporate checkerboards into her outfits, with the idea behind it being the synthesis of a "character design", like a cartoon character whose outfits follow some sort of visual motif. I went to Goodwill with my good friend Jess and we ended up getting me a couple striped shirts as I proudly declared "stripes will be my thing" over and over. I've decided to not repeat myself much on this EP for the sake of offsetting that.
