Smash Island
A downloadable game for Windows
Smash Island is a tactical, battle-focused game played on a single map packed with random events, cities, monster parties, roaming bosses, and hidden treasures.
Each run takes under an hour. A full party wipe means game over, so it’s built for short, but intense sessions. Most of your time will be spent in battles against enemy teams with synergistic party compositions designed to break you down. Your job is to plan ahead and build the best team to survive.
You’ll start with 4 random characters and 8,000 gold. Head south to the first town and buy candies that permanently raise stats, manuals that teach new skills, or visit the guild to recruit new units. With death being permanent and revival items scarce, having extra units can be the difference between victory and defeat.
Every unit has a class. Guardians are good at absorbing damage. Medics have healing skills. Tacticians provide support with buff skills. And then there's a host of damage-dealing units that specialize in either magic or physical damage. Inspect your units' status and skills carefully, as team diversity and synergy are the keys to success.
Recovery items are extremely limited, so reckless play will quickly lead to a game over. Smart positioning, minimizing damage taken, and making use of status effects like poison or sleep will turn the tide in your favor.
If you enjoy resource management, party-building, challenging combat, and the thrill of permanent death, Smash Island is for you!

I can see people who love strategy rreally enjoying this, but I have to admit it's a bit too difficult for me lol. The starting song caught me off guard!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
I only had myself to playtest it, so it's difficult to gauge how tough it is for others. I'll keep this in mind and look into tweaks to make it more accessible. Thank you.
All feedback welcome! Thank you for playing.
