Announcing: The Drupalers Webring

I'm announcing a new project that I've been working on called The Drupalers Webring!

I've really been getting into retro web paraphernalia lately, and one of the things I've been paying special attention to are webrings, a way of building out a group of websites all devoted to various special interests. A visitor can start at any website, and by using a shared widget on all of those websites, that person can jump from one website to the next.

NixOS + Drupal Talk: DrupalSouth 2026

Here is a video of the talk I presented at DrupalSouth 2026 talking about the work I've done to help Drupal run as a service on NixOS, via a service module.

Also, here is the slide deck from the presentation if you're curious about browsing through the resources I link at the end. Thanks!

Readable Theme

I'm trying out something new on the website! I've recently switch to using a super minimalistic theme based off of the wonderful readable.css. I wanted to try and design a thoroughly unopinionated theme that utilized custom CSS as little as possible while retaining a simple, maybe even retro look. No columns, no sidebars, just text. Interestingly, it even implements some basic dark mode support and reduced animation support, for folks who use those features.

Drupal As A Service: A Year In Open Source

It's been about a year since I started building and maintaining the Drupal service integration for NixOS, and the next nixpkgs stable release is comming up this May, so it seems like a good time to take stock and talk about what has been going on with this project in that time.

New Mexico Green Chile Enchiladas

I’m mostly nonplussed by the enchilada recipes on the Internet, but this one worked with some modifications to make it more like the dishes they serve in New Mexico. It originally called for boiled chicken breast and a cup of chilies. I’ve swapped that for the much more flavorful pan-fried chicken thighs and an extra cup of chilies, which (plus the cup that the original recipe called for) comes out to a single 16oz jar of hatch green chilies from my local supermarket.

Gluten Free Sourdough Bread Recipe

A long (long) time ago, I promised that this website would host recipes of the non-software kind. Today, I'm ready to share this gluten free sourdough recipe I've been refining for the better part of a year. This is a mishmash of like two or three different sourdough recipes I've used for gluten free bread, and to my taste, this includes the best bits of all of them.

Using Bottles to Run Windows-Based Electron Apps on Linux

I recently got a hold of a piece of software that I had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of for some time. It came in the mail via USB flash drive and proudly advertised that it would only work on Windows and Mac OSX. Knowing a thing or two about computers, I (perhaps, over-) confidently ignored these instructions and set out to make it work on Linux.
