Does anyone have the site defs for RecipeFox? I am trying to find them! Thanks
Frank, I tried to post this problem several days ago but it is still not in the list so I am posting again. Sorry if it is a duplicate. When using cb2cb to convert from BigOven crb to MX2 (or MZ2), the ingredient list on many, if not most, of the recipes is reversed from top to bottom and the top 1 or 2 ingredients are missing in a few of the recipes. I am using version 0.94. I have tried changing various options to their default positions but, so far, nothing seems to fix the problem. Please let...

Since Living Cookbook software is now defunct, I downloaded cb2cb onto my laptop (Windows 7) so I can transfer my Living Cookbook recipes to Mastercook on my new laptop (Windows 10) however I got an error message saying that cb2cb may not have downloaded correctly. After extracting the files into a new folder, when I select the cb2cb.exe file, nothing happens... Does anyone have a solution for this? Best Regards, Kelly
Running windows 10 version 2004 build 19041.746 java version 8 update 281 (build 1.8.0_281-b09) tried both 64 and 32-bit versions of java Double click cb2cb.exe It flashes and creates empty cb2cb.log in the program's directory Nothing else. Thanks, Jeff
Hi there. I'm not a power user by any means. I am trying to install cb2cb, in order to get my Mastercook files into HomeCookin. I've updated Java, and shut off Norton temporarily. When I try to install cb2cb, I still get a Norton message that it's blocking a "suspicious action" by cb2cb, apparently related to a file called ending with .ico . Any thoughts on how to get this to install. I now hate Mastercook with a passion, and want to somehow save my recipes if I can.
Recipeclips doesn't use CB2CB to extract photos from fdx - it does it automatically through RecipeClips on the command line. I know CB2CB can do it, because Pam helps people get out of Living Cookbook all the time. It is my RecipeClips that can no longer do it, since I updated to the new 64-bit Java version of CB2CB. When I use CB2CB 0.92 to extract to TXT format, then the photos are exported as expected. What are you seeing? CB2CB should be able to read FDX/FDXZ files and convert it to MZ2 (where you can get the photos from?). Doesn't that work? Frank, it appears the fdx photo extractor for RecipeClips no longer works. Apparently, because of the change to 64 bit java. That means I can no longer extract photos from fdx files for those leaving Living Cookbook, or who already have fdx files with photos. I tried CB2CB just to extract the photos, but that didn't work either. People whose LC is no longer working have no way to get their photos out of fdx files. If you could add a fdx to fdxz converter in CB2CB, that would be a solution. Ideas...
Thank you both. That helps. I must have installed the 64-bit java.
cb2cb is written using java, so you will have to install that first. Yes, as I guess that most are using 64-bit versions of Windows 10, I only released a 64-bit version which requires a 64-bit version of java. You should be able to download it from here: https://www.java.com/en/download/win10.jsp
Install Java 64 bit.
I just downloaded the 2020 version, installed Java, and could not get the program to run. It seemed to want to try, but no interface opened. Thoughts?
