Hi Kristian, Oreka saves raw capture data into a file during the capture before doing the transcription (mcf file), so we already have roughly what you are looking for. I would happily accept a patch that would make Oreka output the same thing as Asterisk. Henri -----Original Message----- From: ore...@li... [mailto:ore...@li...] On Behalf Of Kristian Kielhofner Sent: 11 septembre 2007 14:23 To: ore...@li... Subject: [Oreka-devel] Oreka + G729 (file formats) Hello everyone, There have been several messages over the last few days about adding G279 support to Oreka in some fashion. What I don't understand is, why doesn't Oreka support more formats? If all you need to do is write the data to the disk, you don't have to have an actual implementation of the codec. I'm not trying to troll here... Asterisk separates codecs and file formats. It supports the G729 file format and can play and read from G279 files without a license. It just can't convert/transcode it. As long as you are using something (phone, other software, etc) that supports G729 you can read/convert/etc the files into any format you need. Or maybe Oreka already does this? -- Kristian Kielhofner ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
