Our company uses Asterisk for our 600 seat call center. We plan on putting a
Ranch Networks device in front of the switch to provide us with automatic
failover. The Ranch Networks box bridges the calls so Asterisk no longer
will see the rtp stream for the calls. That means that we can no longer use
our current method of recording calls directly using the Asterisk software.
We would like to use Oreka. However our current (in house developed)
application for listening to the recorded calls allow our users to search
for a recording by caller id, caller name, DNIS, Queue, etc. Some of this
information is provided by Asterisk and some is captured by our CRM
software. We can match the recorded wav files with this meta data via the
Asterisk call ID. Is there any means within Oreka of storing in the SQL
database  information in the SIP header? Is there an API for storing
additional data in the SQL database by an external application? Or, even
better does someone have a better solution? We have developers on staff that
could modify the code if we were given some direction.
