Welcome to the MatImage wiki!

MatImage is a Matlab library for image processing and analysis in 2D and 3D. It contains more than 250 fonctions for image enhancement, filtering, analysis, or visualisation, as well as for creating basic test shapes. It is built as a complement of the Mathworks image processing toolbox (IPT).

The library is organised into several modules:

• imFilters for various type of image filters
• imMeasures for extracting quantitaives measurements from images
• imShapes for creating binary test shapes
• imStacks for specific processing of 3D images (contains the Slicer application)
• imGeodesics for computing geodesic distances and geodesic diameters of binary images
• imMinkowski for measuring surface area, perimeter, mean breadth and other intrinsic volumes in 2D or 3D binary or label images
