Consists of two parts. Part one: a x11 desktop/window manager launcher. Part two: assigns files to UNIX and x11 apps via a prefpane. My purpose is to integrate X11/Unix and Mac OS X.

The Library xmlio is a simple to use non validating XML-Parser/Composer for B&R Industrial-Automation PLC (B&R SPS). It reads and writes Process-Variables including Structures from and to XML-Files. XPath Shell (XPsh) is a shell extension for selecting files with an XPath-inspired syntax, depending on file attributes and the metadata and/or content of individual files. XPsh can be used as a standalone command, or it can be integrated into a shell.

Ziprecv is a free and opensource zip recovery utility that extracts files from a zip archive sequentially. It can extract even incomplete zip files and archives with a corrupted index.

Network file system synchronization utility

anextfs is a FUSE-based Filesystem. It enables serverside serialization and local file-caching.

This program is a simple tools to copy data from raw devices or files to another raw devices or files.

A media changer/jukebox implemented as a FUSE filesystem, with initial support for the NSM CDR100, and extensible to other changers.

This program intentionally corrupts a unix stream at a specified error rate. It is for systematic analysis on the effects of data corruption. I wrote it to simulate bit-rot in file archives so I could test RAID and archive strategies for data recovery. A few short bash scripts are included so you can instantly enjoy text, image, audio, and video corruption. Just drop in your own data files called test.jpg, test.mp3, and test.mp4 and run the scripts. Usage format is: corrupt [OPTION]... Cync is a small but powerful synchronization tool for GNU/Linux systems. It finds differences in file timestamps, and executes the necessary action. It is possible to write CSL-files for performing more synchronization tasks in one command.

dedup util is a lightweight open-source files packing tool. It is based on block-level data de-duplication technology, and can reduce the data capacity to save storage space. The key feature is no block data collsion with md5 hashkey.

ecp is intended to be an extended version (`extended cp') of the GNU coreutils' cp. It currently supports ftp transfers, progress display (both per file and total copy progress), with http and ssl planned.

fat_imgen is a utility you can use to create and modify FAT12 floppy images with.

Searches a drive (possibly with additional mounted drives) for duplicate files, outputs a potential script for deleting them after editing.

Filecmp is a command-line application that gets two filenames as argument and outputs the comparison between them - e.g. if they are the same or not... it may look irrelevant but sometime it's very useful, specially inside scripts.

'finddouble' application searches into a directory and all its sub directories. If it finds several times the same file, a warning message is displayed, but no other action is taken. It's main use is to help you optimize you disk usage.

File Write Tracker (FWTracker) will save all files before they are updated, or deleted. It also keeps track of files that had their permissions or contexts changed. You can also restore the files back to their original state.

hxs - command line hexa searching and binary file dumping utility, allows you to search hexa expressions and binary strings in any files (supporting also big files like /dev/hda) and allows you to dump particular pieces of file.

jbTeX is an application that can easily mantain your LaTeX project. Is it useful actually for avoiding all the include{} statements, and simply use the files and directories created in the local folder.

jkl is console file manager for UN*X systems. It is inspired by popular FAR manager for Windows - all of it`s functionality is provided by plugins, so it could be easily extended with new functions (i.e. FTP client, compression tools...)

LANL-Purger is a purging system intended for use on larger parallel filesystems in which notifications or advanced queries are required before file deletion. The parallel code requires MPI and database storage uses a PostgresSQL server.

Lecithine is a FUSE (file system in user space) using a secret sharing scheme. You can use Lecithine as regular file system. When writing to disk, data will be devided into randomly chosen pieces (secret shares) and stored into different places. Upon reading, the shares are merged together such that in turn the plaintext results. From a cryptographers point of view, there is no symmetric or private key ever needed to produce a ciphertext. This is how secret sharing schemes are designed.
