    30 Days of Elixir

    30 Days of Elixir

A walk through the Elixir language in 30 exercises

30-days-of-elixir is an educational repository created by Josh Adams (seven1m) designed to teach the fundamentals of the Elixir programming language through a structured, daily learning approach. The project provides a series of exercises and examples meant to guide learners from the basics of Elixir syntax to more advanced functional programming concepts. Each day introduces new material in a concise and practical format, encouraging hands-on experimentation and gradual mastery of the language. The content covers essential topics such as pattern matching, recursion, data structures, processes, and message passing—core principles that define Elixir’s design. This incremental learning format allows developers to build confidence and understanding while maintaining consistent progress. As one of the early and influential resources in the Elixir community, 30-days-of-elixir remains a valuable guide for self-learners and newcomers to the functional programming paradigm.

    Hacker Laws

    Hacker Laws

Laws, theories, principles and patterns useful to developers

Laws, Theories, Principles and Patterns that developers will find useful. There are lots of laws which people discuss when talking about development. This repository is a reference and overview of some of the most common ones. Principles and laws to follow such as: If a program is made up of two parts, part A, which must be executed by a single processor, and part B, which can be parallelised, then we see that adding multiple processors to the system executing the program can only have a limited benefit. It can potentially greatly improve the speed of part B - but the speed of part A will remain unchanged. Also, theories like The Broken Windows Theory, which suggests that visible signs of crime (or lack of care of an environment) lead to further and more serious crimes (or further deterioration of the environment). Conway's Law suggests that the technical boundaries of a system will reflect the structure of the organisation. These among others, are featured in this project.

    Litmus

    Litmus

Litmus helps SREs and developers practice chaos engineering

LitmusChaos is an open source Chaos Engineering platform that enables teams to identify weaknesses & potential outages in infrastructures by inducing chaos tests in a controlled way. Developers & SREs can practice Chaos Engineering with Litmus as it is easy to use, based on modern chaos engineering principles & community collaboration. It is 100% open source & a CNCF project. Litmus takes a cloud-native approach to create, manage and monitor chaos. The platform itself runs as a set of microservices and uses Kubernetes custom resources to define the chaos intent, as well as the steady-state hypothesis. A centralized chaos management tool called chaos-center helps construct, schedule, and visualize Litmus chaos workflows. Made up of a chaos agent and multiple operators that execute & monitor the experiment within a defined target Kubernetes environment.

    Monolog

    Monolog

Sends logs to files, sockets, inboxes, databases and web services

Monolog sends your logs to files, sockets, inboxes, databases and various web services. See the complete list of handlers below. Special handlers allow you to build advanced logging strategies. This library implements the PSR-3 interface that you can type-hint against in your own libraries to keep a maximum of interoperability. You can also use it in your applications to make sure you can always use another compatible logger at a later time. As of 1.11.0 Monolog public APIs will also accept PSR-3 log levels. Internally Monolog still uses its own level scheme since it predates PSR-3. Tidelift delivers commercial support and maintenance for the open source dependencies you use to build your applications. Save time, reduce risk, and improve code health, while paying the maintainers of the exact dependencies you use. Monolog 1.x support is somewhat limited at this point and only important fixes will be done. You should migrate to Monolog 2 where possible to benefit from all the features.
