Hovers might genuinely lose to jumpbots

but dont mace pwn eveything except juggle and moderator?.. so if you do mace + scalpel rush and play it perfect you can keep enough pressure on that they cant juggle.. scalpels must kill placeholders and mods.. mace must kill pyro and puppies.. and daggers must raid and repel pyro raiders. atleast thats what iv seen working.. main issue is juggle?

I think Hovers should have a slight edge on a flat map like this.
You had an idle Dagger next to the enemy base when the enemy had only a con there.
Just distracting the con and forcing a Pyro to defend is well worth it if you have the attention to spare. You might even have a killed a mex.
I think mixing in some Bolas earlier is also nice for defense.
Controlling Bolas together with Daggers is a bit finicky as you usually want the slower Bolas to lead the charge so you can slow down the Pyro and finish it off with the Daggers.
Although controlling Daggers is also finicky because it is easy to mess up if some of the Daggers are facing the wrong way, and you just get one or 2 shots off before the Pyro turns around while your Daggers keep burning.
Midgame, spamming Scalpels with some support(Daggers/Bolas/Mace) is pretty strong as you should get favorable trades against Pyros and Moderator, and most other Jumpbot compositions, and you can choose to overrun defenses locally or go around them.
Firewalkers are best avoided and you can usually outmaneuver them before they cover the whole front. Firewwalkers time is easily wasted if you just let them slowly burn down defenses or distract them with lonely Daggers or Halberds. You have plenty of time to react.
You need a contingency plan against Firewalkers. I think the best options are Raven, Lance and Halberd in that order. All of these options fail as a strong counter, if the enemy see them coming and have time to prepare. However, they are all situationally strong and even if the jumpbot player knows they are on the field, they can effectively nullify Firewalkers.
Halberd is great as a distraction infront of your frontlines. They take a long time to kill and you have plenty of time to react and pull them back for repairs. If the enemy catch them with Placeholders, you still have time to decide if you want to try and save it with your frontline units or sacrifice it. If the enemy expose their firewalker without proper support, you can just swarm it with Halberds and nearby Daggers and Bolas. This should still leave you enough room to protect your frontline with Scalpels and Mace and retreat them before they burn down.
Raven is nice, but if the density of Moderators and AA is too great, you cannot costeffectively snipe Firewalkers. However, this forces the enemy to keep lots of support nearby the Firewalker, and if the Firewalker is just slowly burning down a few Lotus turrets, this frees a up a lot of resources for you to use elsewhere on the frontline. Raven is still pretty good at sniping lone Moderators or Placeholders at the rest of the frontline.
Lance can easily snipe Firewalkers at range if you just have Sparrows, Halberds or sacrificial Daggers to spot for them. A good jumpbot player can still pull back their Firewalkers to prevent them from being sniped where they expect Lances to be, but that should still leave a lot of decently expensive units for the Lance to snipe such as Pyro, Moderators and Stinger turrets.
Even the enemy expects Lances and know they are coming, you can cover the frontline with a few Sparrows to keep the enemy guessing where they are. Sparrows can also hide the movement of your forces, which can help you overrun Firewalkers with Halberds, Daggers and Bolas aswell.
Sparrows and radar cover is essential for being able able to make offensives in jumpbot territory. A single Placeholder can make or break an effective local attack.
Lances can effectively nullify Firewalkers. One of the best counters to Lance is Raven. So making a few Flail, hover AA prematurely can be a good idea unless you regularly scout the enemy factory. Just denying enemy Sparrows can still be worth it as Flail is fast and tanky which makes it highly survivable on the frontlines.
