BlightFog
A downloadable game for Windows
About:
BlightFog is a short, narrative driven RPG, where you travel across a post apocalyptic world on a bike while taking care of an infant.
On the way you will meet other anthropomorphic characters. Solve conflicts and build relationships through dialogues.
Allocate resources between you and the child, find unique items that will influence dialogues and give you new ways to approach different situations.
Your goal is to save the child's mother and get them both to safety.
Will you chose the longer and safer paths, or risk to save time and fuel and take the shorter but more dangerous ones?
Will you let the child starve or sacrifice your own well-being for him? Will you be a pretend-hero, a coward or a fuel-drinking madman who refuses to wear clothes?

SPOILERS!
If you plan on playing the game, don't read this comment!
Hi, I’m currently playing the Steam version of the game and wanted to share some feedback.
When the MC encounters a tied-up Quinn and a sleeping Vital, the options to use the Pliers (90% chance) or pick up Vital’s gun (30% chance) never seem to succeed, even after many retries. I don't know if that's a bug or if it's intentional. If these options are scripted to always fail, I’d suggest reconsidering that design choice. Showing a success % implies the player can succeed, which feels misleading and frustrating. (I do understand savescumming isn’t the intended playstyle, but this still feels odd.)
Also, I have found a few bugs. Actual bugs
In the bird's mobile base, interacting with the bike and picking the option that you will look for another way first will softlock the game, removing the bike interaction.
The option to "flirt" with Quinn sometimes doesn't appear
Also on the Pliers option, there are two options to try and break the chains. They both result in the same outcome, but one of them will show some raw string of text
In the bunker, entering and leaving will prevent the MC to enter it again
The audio bug someone else mentioned.
There might be more, but that's as far as I've gone...
Thanks for playing the game and reporting these issues! There is an actual chance for both the pliers and gun check to succeed, so either it's a bug or you are really unlucky 😅
I mean, failing a 90% success chance 11 times in a row makes me pretty certain something’s off. If it’s really just bad luck, then I don’t know if I should buy a lottery ticket or start worrying someone’s after me!
Either way, thanks for getting back to me! Could you maybe give the code a quick look, just to confirm? It’d really ease my worries of "the universe is conspiring against me"
I checked the code and with the pliers there is no way to succeed, sorry I misremember this part... You are not that unlucky, I just have terrible memory xD There are some points in the game where you will always fail or always succeed, but there is very few of them. The gun check is possible, but only if you didn't injure your arm.
Ah, I see — thanks a lot for double-checking and clearing that up!
I’d still suggest maybe hiding the % on those scripted fail moments, just to help avoid confusion for players.
EDIT: Also, only I didn't injure the arm? You mean at the beginning after pulling the metal plate from Bird Jail? Or is it during another instance? Because if the former, I explored and I have not find any point to escape the prison without injuring the arm
hey this is really cool but i got a bug in settings where the audio was set to 4000 percent i think??? im not sure what caused this as i straight up only got to the first choice at that point.
Hey! I will look into it, thanks for reporting the issue ^^
is there combat here? i want to know
Heyo! No, there is no combat ^^
Stealth then?
There are some instances where you have to sneak, but I wouldn't really classify that as sheath. It is primarily text based game with some light exploration.
First run: Everyone burned. I love the music, the random animated cut scenes and i just know i will be replaying this to hell. I do want to ask if there's an official guide or even just a list of possible endings cause I want to see all the possible routes.
Kudos to your author, the controls were kinda weird to get used to but i love the graphics, art styles, storytelling, everything in general!
Thank you so much for playing BlightFog, it means a world to hear that you enjoyed the game this much <3 At this point there is no official guide. But I can tell you that there are 5 endings.
Hey, I just wanted to check if there is now a guide or list of endings. I would still try and find them all, its just that I'm the kind of person who will probably give up realizing how much time it will take.
Still, the game is the absolute masterpiece! The style, the philosophy, it jus absolutely great! Thank you very much for creating this game!
also my final question (sorry for taking so much space) did you play Lika Aged Through Blood? this game has some similar massages and world aspect (I'm not accusing, just asking)
Hey! Thank you so much for playing the game! There is no official guide for the endings, sorrry :c (If you want I can send you some hints in DM somewhere, I don't wanna drop spoilers here) I'm really happy you like game ^^ And yes, I played Laika during the development of this game, I loved it soooo much and the influence it had on me can be definitely felt in BlightFog :D
Honestly adore this game, after replaying about 3/4 times to get as many endings as possible I decided to leave it there. However im kinda curious if there's an ending where vital survives? That and, when you give the medicine to the child it gets sick almost immediately again after travelling. Curious if thats intended or not too :
Heyo! Thank you so much for playing the game! The child getting sick is most likely a bug xddd ...and regarding Vital ...let's say there are ways he can redeem himsel
It seems like a wonderful game and looks very exciting, but i can't get past the scene where i drive the bike out. the game stops responding every time i try. I have tried to download and reinstall and it still will not work.
I'm sorry to hear that... maybe try going straight for the bike and ignore everything else, I know this can happen from time to time, but it's weird that it's happening every time you try it :/
Haven't played it yet but the art style reminds me of Deadsound on YT, especially his Autodale series
Is it finished?
Yes it is ^^
This game is AMAZING. The art style is perfect. The ending was a bit confusing, but the theme was amazing.
About the game:
I could NOT use the fuel on my bike at all. It was a bit frustrating
Somehow, the volume was too low; I adjusted it to the max both in the game and on my PC, but it was still too low.
Sometimes the buttons didn't work, like when I wanted to open the bike storage, I needed to press the button at a certain angle to make it work.
The game itself feels like it's a bit hurried.
Besides all of these, THE GAME IS AMAZING. I LOVED the soundtrack. The game is promising, I wish there were more games like this. <3
Thank you so much for playing BlightFog! I'm really happy that you enjoyed the game even though it has flaws. It really means a lot to me to hear that you liked it so much ^^
The art style of the game really attracts me, also when I dive into the intro it gives one after another surprise for me to enjoy - amazing audios, beautiful soundtracks and the interesting "voices" narration.
Sadly, I just got stuck very easily as some important interactive options seem to disappear after I dismissed them to explore the side ones:
1) At the cage part, I went for the hidden exit first, then dropped it to check the cage lock, and came back to find that the pink interactive button on the wall is gone.
2) At the bike part, I checked the bike first, then left it to check the tumor thing, and came back to find no way to hop on the bike now.
3) After the fuse box was shot at the garage, I checked it in the dark and found I could not do much about it, then strangely left with nothing to do... This is where I went kind of out of patience and want to write this comment as feedback.
I really like all the other experiences from this short playthrough, and hope there might be a chance these similar bugs can be fixed so I can explore more into the story and its world.
