Gandalf the grizzled. I'm keen to show some sketches from how this began in my sketchbook. There is an air of sitting down, but the inability to *just sit down* - this is how I see Gandalf. I imagine in this scene he's forgotten the password, is in a bit of a huff, and has progressed to take his mind off things with a little longbottom leaf. The stillness before the drama unfolds. Also if anyone can decipher the words at the bottom, maybe we turn this guys frown upside down. #lordofthering...
