Production art from the 1937 Disney short, Clock Cleaners (mainly centering on Goofy). Mickey and co. were always at odds with their environment, always at war with something. A garden chair wouldn’t open. A rodent caused them grief. A door would rattle, a faucet would drip, driving them crazy. Fleischer’s Betty Boop and Popeye were more Zen that way.
