In Greek mythology, Hemera is the primordial goddess and personification of Day. She is typically described as the daughter of Erebus (Darkness) and Nyx (Night), and the sister of Aether (Heavenly Light). Her role is to disperse the dark mists of night each morning, bringing forth the light of day. While a significant figure in early Greek cosmogony, her importance later diminished, with her role often being subsumed by the goddess Eos, who personifies the dawn.
