SHIMA is a half-Japanese, half-American producer, singer and engineer raised in Tokyo, Japan. She began her music career at the age of 14 as a J-pop singer under a major Japanese label, performing in a girl group throughout high school. Ultimately deciding that the commercial pop world was not for her, she moved to the United States at the age of 18 to study Music & Computer Engineering at the University of Miami where she discovered her passion for electronic dance music. After graduation, she produced music in her spare time while working full-time as a software developer. During the pandemic, she decided to chase her dream – making the switch to music full-time to prepare her debut album. EIYAA via Young Art Records is a showcase of razor-sharp style, versatility and the sound of a visionary artistic voice set free.
