Theatre of Life

The presentation was really well done, from the shift in art style, tone and foreshadowing. It all lends itself well to the dark ending. I especially like the loop of returning back to the beginning, just with the added context. You guys did a good job with the time provided.

What if BF was the comfort we accumulated along the way? Or something. Great story! The transition from happy life to identity crisis was a bit quick, I think, but besides that the execution is brilliant. At the beginning, I was wondering if the father had Alzheimer or something and I guess I wasn’t that far off… One can’t help but wonder if Chappy goes through this every week.

The visuals having two radically different “modes” was great. It was a bit jarring at first when the strangers appeared, but it quickly made sense and seeing the “actual” state of Chappy’s home was chilling. Same thing for the music, which is wonderful.

Overall, great sci-fi. One of my favourites Novembucks. All the parts of the VN worked in concert beautifully. (I now just wonder what BF stands for. Surely not “boyfriend”^^)

This story was surprisingly effective with the time that it had, the art style shift representing the perspective shift on the Vegetative lifestyle really hit hard

What a fascinating glimpse into this world! It feels very familiar of course, you did a fantastic job with the theme of this. I thought the initial art style was adorable, and seeing how you played with art style to tell the story was very impressive. You should be really proud of this one! The final CG and the ending dialogue really hit me hard, and worked beautifully.

Due the story is short, I can't elaborate much on this visual novel.

But it's good! Fulfills its purpose of conveying a message about our current world.

Although the ending saddened me, it's...realistic.
