Earn Two Accredited Bachelor’s Degrees — American & European

At the University of New York in Prague (UNYP), students can earn two fully recognized bachelor’s degrees through a single integrated academic program. By completing a Dual Degree, you receive:

  • A U.S. bachelor’s degree awarded by SUNY Empire State University
  • A European Bachelor’s degree (Bc.) accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and awarded by UNYP

You study entirely in English in Prague, complete one coordinated curriculum, and graduate with two separate diplomas recognized on both sides of the Atlantic.

This is not a study-abroad semester or a certificate pathway. It is a structured American–European academic model designed to provide international credibility and long-term flexibility.

A Degree Recognized in the United States and Across Europe

Many students seek an American degree in Europe or an internationally recognized bachelor’s degree that supports global mobility. UNYP’s Dual Degree directly addresses this goal.

The U.S. degree is awarded through SUNY Empire State University, part of the State University of New York system. SUNY is regionally accredited in the United States, ensuring academic quality and recognition.

The European degree (Bc.) is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and recognized within the European Higher Education Area.

Graduates therefore hold two independently accredited degrees — strengthening professional credibility, graduate school eligibility, and international employability.

Why Earn a Dual Degree?

Global Career Flexibility

Employers evaluate academic credentials through accreditation systems they understand. Holding both an American and a European degree reduces ambiguity and supports employment across the EU, the United States, and international markets.

Stronger Graduate School Potential

Students planning to pursue a master’s degree, MBA, or other postgraduate studies benefit from holding a U.S.-issued bachelor’s degree alongside a European qualification. This can simplify applications to American graduate programs while maintaining recognition within Europe.

One Location, Two Degrees

The entire program is delivered in Prague. There is no need to relocate to the United States or transfer institutions. The curriculum is intentionally structured to meet both academic systems within one coordinated study path.

An International Academic Environment

UNYP delivers all programs in English within a diverse academic community of students and faculty from around the world. The Dual Degree is embedded within this global learning environment.
