At the University of New York in Prague (UNYP), students can earn two fully recognized bachelor’s degrees through a single integrated academic program. By completing a Dual Degree, you receive:
You study entirely in English in Prague, complete one coordinated curriculum, and graduate with two separate diplomas recognized on both sides of the Atlantic.
This is not a study-abroad semester or a certificate pathway. It is a structured American–European academic model designed to provide international credibility and long-term flexibility.
Many students seek an American degree in Europe or an internationally recognized bachelor’s degree that supports global mobility. UNYP’s Dual Degree directly addresses this goal.
The U.S. degree is awarded through SUNY Empire State University, part of the State University of New York system. SUNY is regionally accredited in the United States, ensuring academic quality and recognition.
The European degree (Bc.) is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and recognized within the European Higher Education Area.
Graduates therefore hold two independently accredited degrees — strengthening professional credibility, graduate school eligibility, and international employability.
Employers evaluate academic credentials through accreditation systems they understand. Holding both an American and a European degree reduces ambiguity and supports employment across the EU, the United States, and international markets.
Students planning to pursue a master’s degree, MBA, or other postgraduate studies benefit from holding a U.S.-issued bachelor’s degree alongside a European qualification. This can simplify applications to American graduate programs while maintaining recognition within Europe.
The entire program is delivered in Prague. There is no need to relocate to the United States or transfer institutions. The curriculum is intentionally structured to meet both academic systems within one coordinated study path.
UNYP delivers all programs in English within a diverse academic community of students and faculty from around the world. The Dual Degree is embedded within this global learning environment.
The American & European Dual Degree option is available in the following undergraduate programs:
Each program maintains discipline-specific academic rigor while fulfilling both U.S. and European degree requirements. Students apply directly to UNYP and select their chosen field of study within the Dual Degree structure.
Studying a dual degree at UNYP has allowed me to combine international academic standards with a multicultural learning environment, giving me both practical skills and a global perspective that directly enhance my professional development within Europe and abroad.

Upon graduation, students receive two separate diplomas:
The program is structured so that both degrees are earned within a coordinated academic timeline.

UNYP’s Dual Degree is built on a long-standing academic partnership with SUNY Empire State University. This collaboration ensures curriculum alignment, academic oversight, and quality assurance in accordance with U.S. higher education standards.
The European degree is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, ensuring compliance with national and European higher education frameworks.
This dual accreditation structure provides transparency, institutional credibility, and internationally recognized academic qualifications.
A dual degree awards two separate diplomas from two accredited institutions. A joint degree typically results in a single diploma issued collaboratively. UNYP’s program grants two full bachelor’s degrees.
