The next lunar eclipse will be on 3 mars 2026.

It will be a spectacular total lunar eclipse where the Earth's umbra, the darkest part of its shadow, completely covers the Moon. Because a totally eclipsed Moon is usually colored red, total lunar eclipses are also called Blood Moons.

A lunar eclipse can be seen from all locations on the night side of Earth.

This eclipse will not be visible in Paris, but you can follow it via our real-time animation or live stream.
