Band of Horses

The South Carolina quintet who formed from the ashes of decade-old outfit Carissa's Weird delivers woodsy, dreamy and sadly beauteous epic songs, which favor the reverb-heavy vocals of Ben Bridwell and are clearly in thrall to My Morning Jacket, although they're no less affecting for that.
