And a good plan is merely a vision thought out.<\/p>\n<p>We hope <a href=\"\/day1\">Day 1<\/a> helped you\u00a0establish your vision: your Must List. (<em><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">You did complete your Must List, right? And you have it posted somewhere you can regularly see it, right?)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">For reference, here&#8217;s an attenuated version of Joshua &amp; Ryan&#8217;s Must List. It started out much longer, but we pared it down over time.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We must live <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/vehicle\/\">heathy lives<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must eat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/diet\">healthy foods<\/a> at every meal.<br \/>\nWe must <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/6min\">exercise<\/a> at least four times per week.<br \/>\nWe must build loving <a href=\"\/authentic\">relationships<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/get-give\/\">contribute<\/a> to others in a meaningful way every day.<br \/>\nWe must <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/discomfort\/\">grow<\/a> as individuals every day.<br \/>\nWe must work towards our <a href=\"\/mission\">mission<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/writing-habits\/\">write every day<\/a>.<br \/>\nWe must <a href=\"\/reading\">read<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must listen to <a href=\"\/sound\">music<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must be <a href=\"\/cal\">passionate<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must be grateful and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/thanksgiving\/\">thankful<\/a> every day.<br \/>\nWe must enjoy our lives every day.<br \/>\nWe must <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/be-on-the-mountain\">live in the moment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>What do any of these things have to do with minimalism?<\/em> you might ask. Well, if you read our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/minimalism\">definition of minimalism<\/a>, then you&#8217;ll remember that minimalism is simply the tool to get rid of all the unnecessary stuff in your life so you can focus on what&#8217;s important; by removing the excess from our lives, we can\u00a0focus on these\u00a0<em>musts<\/em>, and with the clutter gone, we can\u00a0focus on living a more meaningful life.<\/p>\n<p>Our Must List is our vision of how we want to live our lives, and we chose to use minimalism as a tool to turn this vision into a reality.<\/p>\n<p>With your vision in place, you must now\u00a0plan your journey. Spend at least an hour planning today. Develop your plan by answering the following questions:<\/p>\n<p>What is standing in the way of my <em>musts<\/em>?<br \/>\nWhen did I give so much meaning to my\u00a0possessions?<br \/>\nWhat is truly important in my life?<br \/>\nWhy am I discontented?<br \/>\nWho is the person I want to become?<br \/>\nHow will I define my success?<br \/>\nHow will\u00a0my life improve\u00a0if I own less stuff?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cPlanning\u201d is\u00a0Day 2 of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theminimalists.com\/21days\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Our 21-Day Journey into Minimalism<\/a>.
