The 11th Duke created Festival of Speed (1993) and Revival (1998), bringing motor racing back to Goodwood after nearly three decades’ absence. Now, the focus is on ensuring enjoyment of racing well into the future. Festival of Speed showcases alternative fuels and electric vehicles, and in 2024, Goodwood Revival became the world’s first historic motorsport event to run its full race schedule on sustainable fuel.

Dogs have always been at the heart of life on the Estate and, in 2022, Goodwood added to its calendar of events with Goodwoof – a dog event like no other. The “Glastonbury for dogs” (The Times, May 2025) will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2026.

Alongside its events, Goodwood operates a diverse portfolio of businesses, welcoming over one million visitors each year. Rolls-Royce has also called Goodwood home since 2005, a move the 11th Duke, as a board member, was deeply involved in.

The not-for-profit Goodwood Art Foundation – a new destination for contemporary art in the UK – opened in May 2025 and received the Cultural & Social Contribution award at the 2025 Walpole British Luxury Awards.
