Newsletter for June

Duncan Thomson

There's a Rand Roll and Chaos Gen Newsletter sent every month. This is the June version.

Highlighted Gens and Tools

Very specific, Fantasy World Generator from Windmill Tales is an Android app for solo rpgs, with an oracle and generators.

D&DIY has an (old) d100 list of Foraged Foods, Herbs and Drugs in a blog post.

Highlighting another one from OSR Vault, is the Hireling Generator for older style games.

Gamebooks

The 100 Endings Book Club is taking a break until September, and an article looks at First Season and Future of 100 Endings

There are still many gamebooks to read, as the Lindenbaum Competition is open for voting (until Aug 27th), with 12 entries of up to 100 Sections to read. It's an annual contest of short gamebooks.

There's a few people reading through them on the 100 Endings Discord Server if you want to join us.

Rand Roll Articles

Rand Roll reached 101 Interviews recently, so I celebrated 8 Years of Rand Roll in 10 Interviews, having a look at milestones from that time.

In Gamebooks there was Getting Started in the Reeking Metropolis (Steam Highwayman book 3) and Gamebook Diaries with Dreaming of Mythic Devon.

Solo RPGs had a quiet month, noting that Rolling Solo Season 4 will be Dungeons, likely starting with Delve by Anna Blackwell in July.

Random Tables showed off Fungal Gardens Encounters and Locations plus continued Chaos Solo Engine with Adventurers and Treasures

Random Table Titles

One release for June, with 1-Page Fungal Garden Encounters, for forests and caves of mushrooms, slimes and spores.

Tools at chaosgen.com

First new tool at Chaos Gen in a long time is Chaos Solo Engine - Fantasy Basic. It's a first version giving basic details for solo rpgs.

Finishing Up

Happy gaming!
