David Sims The Atlantic It’s already without question the finest example of the genre in more than a generation. Apr 1, 2025 Full Review David Bianculli NPR Binge a few hours of "The Pitt" back to back and you'll feel as exhausted as the doctors, nurses and interns look. But stick around and you'll come to know and love these characters just as viewers of the original "ER" did. Mar 20, 2025 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine But for all its big names and ambitious themes, Common Side Effects feels, in the best way possible, like the kind of indie-animation oddity you might‘ve stumbled upon at 3 a.m. on ‘90s MTV. Mar 4, 2025 Full Review Catherine Springer CathsFilmForum.com There are so many similarities to ER, but those are mostly obvious. It’s what The Pitt does differently that makes it stand out. Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Seth Freilich Pajiba This show should be mandatory viewing for all adults past a certain age because nobody prepares us for this experience. The Pitt gets closer to embodying it than anything I’ve seen. Feb 11, 2025 Full Review Bruce R. Miller Sioux City Journal Noah Wyle is superb in this, his element. He reminds us of the series that set a distinct tone and isn’t afraid to take it in another direction. You may not want to visit the ER, but after a few episodes, you won’t want to abandon “The Pitt.” Rated: 4/4 Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Jamie M "The Pitt" season 1 is excellent television. My husband is an RN. I know little about medicine. Thirteen episodes in we both love it and look forward to the last two. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review Dylan S Every time an episode ends you can't help but consider staying up for another 3 episodes, as this show is absolutely fantastic. They manage to somehow give you a sense of how these frontline medical professionals feel as every episode is such a rollercoaster you find yourself emotionally exhausted (in a good way). The level of realism in this show is amazing and the show runners don't shy away from showing all the bloody and disgusting medical scenarios as well as showing the sad and scary situations these heroes face every day. Absolutely fantastic series so far and a must watch for anyone interested in the medical field or anyone just looking for a riveting medical drama. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review Ariel B This is the best show I've seen in the last few years, it's a show to be seen with a good sound system to be fully involved in what is happening, so many gut wrenching moments that medics live by on a day to day basis. I just want to hug my daughters now. Incredible show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review jess L I didn't know how else to contact the shows creator/producer but yeah. My 12 yo cousin was hit by a car on Monday afternoon as she was trying to cross the street from her school. My mom told me her pupils weren't reactive and there was no lower brain stem activity. My 12 yo daughter who was fairly close to her was completely devastated to learn about her cousins accident. I had thought about what the character dr. King had done with the little girl and the stuffed animal. My sil had suggested the samething and I asked my daughter if she wanted to get an animal and do that. She immediately said she did and we went to the b.a.b. and picked out a frog. I had completely forgot that they offered a recording option but my daughter did one telling her cousin that she loved her and that she hoped she would get better. My parents brought the frog up to the hospital for my cousin and her parents loved it. My cousin was officially considered brain dead on Thursday afternoon, and her organs will be donated to other people who are in need of them. It hurts so much, but I want to thank whoever came up with the animal idea, because it made the blow of telling a child that one of their loved ones dying/dead a little easier. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review Tom W First show I’ve looked forward to watching every week since Game of Thrones.. check it out, definitely worth it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review Ross H So affecting. The lack of a musical score creates such a genuine atmosphere. Nothing feels forced or melodramatic. It doesn't tell you when to be moved, it is organic and beautiful. Love every episode.
