spill tab

Spill Tab is the stage name of singer/songwriter Claire Chicha, who is known for her boundaryless, indie-electronic bedroom pop, which she often sings in French and English. Following singles like "Calvaire," Spill Tab jumped to a major label and garnered wider buzz for her first two EPs, 2020's Oatmilk and 2021's Bonnie. A period of heavy touring preceded her third EP, 2023's Klepto, after which she began building up to her debut album. Released in 2025, ANGIE was the culmination of Chicha's stylistic range. Born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents of French and Korean heritage, Chicha grew up listening to a mix of jazz, classical, and Disney pop. She eventually graduated to a mix of indie rock, EDM, and other sounds, drawing upon all of it to craft her own intimately rendered and artful songs. Following her time in college, she joined Gus Dapperton on tour, initially working as an A&R intern and merchandise manager before collaborating on music. As Spill Tab, she broke through with her 2020 single "Calvaire," which she co-produced with collaborator David Marinelli. The highly streamed "Cotton Candy" followed, after which Chicha signed to major-label Arista Records which released her debut EP, Oatmilk, at the end of 2020. In the front half of 2021, Spill Tab continued to pick up steam, delivering a succession of eclectic singles like "PISTOLWHIP" and "Anybody Else," both of which appeared on her Bonnie EP that December. The EP featured collaborations with Dapperton, JAWNY, and Tommy Genesis. She also found time to team up with Metronomy on the song "Uneasy." Chicha spent much of 2022 touring and promoting singles like "Splinter" and "Crème Brûlée." She appeared at Austin's SXSW festival in March of 2023, building up anticipation for her third EP, Klepto, which came out in July. That same year, she teamed up with Matilda Mann on the song "Borderline Insane." With 2024's "PINK LEMONADE" and its 2025 follow-up "De Guerre," Chicha laid the groundwork for her debut album, ANGIE. Released in May 2025 by Because Music, it doubled down on her eclectic range of styles and bilingual approach.
