You have 13 rounds to attack and defend your side using sharp gunplay and tactical abilities. And, with one life per-round, you'll need to think faster than your opponent if you want to survive.
Blend your style and experience on a global, competitive stage. Take on foes across Competitive and Unranked modes as well as Deathmatch and Spike Rush.
More than guns and bullets, you’ll choose an Agent armed with adaptive, swift and lethal abilities that create opportunities to let your gunplay shine. No two Agents play alike, just as no two highlight reels will look the same.
Each map is a playground to showcase your creative thinking - purpose-built for team strategies, spectacular plays and clutch moments. Make the play others will imitate for years to come.
Valorant is a character-based tactical shooter where you outwit, outplay and outshine your competition with precise gunplay, abilities and team strategy.
Valorant is free to play. A range of cosmetic skins and add-ons can be acquired using the game’s virtual currency, Valorant Points. Certain items can be unlocked via gameplay progression.
Valorant Points can be used to unlock the game’s seasonal battle passes, purchase Agents for permanent use, and acquire cosmetic items such as gun buddies, player cards and weapon skins.
Valorant is available on PS5 consoles, but not on PS4.
Valorant supports cross-platform play (crossplay) between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles but not with PC. PC players can only play with other PC players.
As of January 2025 there are 26 playable Agents available in Valorant. New Agents are regularly introduced and can be unlocked via progression or by using Valorant Points. New players will start with a handful of unlocked Agents.
Most of Valorant’s game modes support a team of five players against another team of five. The Deathmatch mode is an exception, played with 12 individuals competing to reach the kill limit.
PlayStation Plus is not required to play Valorant online.
Valorant is developed by Riot Games who also make 2XKO, League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
