Discover an origin story of the world’s most famous spy.

Follow James Bond as a young, resourceful and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6's training programme.

After a heroic act, young Naval air crewman Bond is offered the opportunity to join the newly revived Double 0 programme.

But when a mission to stop a rogue agent ends in tragedy, he must join forces with his reluctant mentor Greenway to expose a deep conspiracy and stop a looming coup at the heart of the State.

007 First Light FAQs

007 First Light is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective, incorporating combat (both unarmed and using weapons) and stealth. You will be able to use a variety of gadgets and get behind the controls of different vehicles.

007 First Light is entirely original and not directly based on any previous James Bond media. This is a standalone story, developed in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.

At present there is no information regarding multiplayer modes for 007 First Light. The game has been revealed as a single-player experience. 

007 First Light is not available for PlayStation 4 consoles but is playable on any PlayStation 5 console including the PS5 Pro - view the range of PS5 consoles here.

007 First Light will be released for PlayStation 5 on 27 March 2026.

As well as James Bond himself, 007 First Light will feature appearances from series favourites M, Q and Moneypenny. The game also features all-new characters such as Greenway, Bond’s mentor in this story.

007 First Light is developed by IO Interactive. The studio is best known for its long-running and critically acclaimed Hitman series.
