Very cute vintage Junghans Bivox alarm clock in cream and gold color. Made in Germany in the 1950s. The alarm was likely sold through an old jeweller's shop "Meyst" in Amsterdam, as there is an original label on the back. Junghans is one of Germany's most respected clockmakers, and for decades it was also one of the largest clock manufacturers in the world. The working condition is a bit of a mystery! The clock does run when wound, when wound, but only when tilted horizontally. It could use some from servicing to function properly, unless used only as a decor accent. Cosmetically in good vintage condition, with some age-related wear to the cream finish and brass details. Please see photos for details.
