The continuation of the idea "Sonic and Eggman as friends". I imagined that they could be a type of friends who seem to hate each other, making fun of each other, blah blah. But deep inside they value their friendship and sometimes allow themselves to show a softer side. E.g., here Eggman is patting Sonic even though he's annoyed with the rodent sleeping on his couch, lol
