Still experimenting with vintage poster design and this one started purely from the layout. I wanted to push a strong Swiss-style grid on the left side and balance it with something more visual and cinematic on the right. I spent a lot of time dialing in the typography, playing with scale, spacing, and negative space until the headline felt locked in. I wanted this piece to feel more like a fashion editorial than a traditional poster, mixed with a bit of a vintage gangster feel. I started with a high-contrast black and white image to set the tone, then built the composition around a bold, oversized type lockup to create that tension and hierarchy.
