Blue-winged Parrot (Neophema chrysostoma) is found in eastern Australia. It is 21cm in length with an olive-green head and upper body, grading to light green on the fore-neck. The upper tail is green-blue, with yellow sides. The underparts are yellow, and there may be orange in the centre of the belly. A yellow facial patch extends back to the eye. A narrow, dark blue band runs from eye to eye across the forehead.

Red-winged Parrot (Aprosmictus erythropterus) is widespread in northern and eastern Australia. It is 30cm-33cm in length, bright lime green with a black back, a deep blue rump and a green tail with a yellow tip. The female is similar, but with a smaller wing patch and dark green back and a paler rump. It inhabits open, dry woodlands, timber-lined watercourses, arid scrub and mangroves where it spends most of the day in trees.

Australian Ringneck (Barnardius zonarius) is a parrot native to Australia and, except for extreme tropical and highland areas, has adapted to all conditions. It is around 33cm long. The basic colour is green, and all four subspecies have the characteristic yellow ring around the hindneck. The wings and tail are a mixture of green and blue. It is active during the day and can be found in eucalypt woodlands and eucalypt-lined watercourses. The subspecies differ considerably in coloration.

Pale yellow rosella with black crown contrasting with white cheeks. The only rosella found in Northern Territory and northwestern Western Australia, where it inhabits open forests and woodlands, often near creeks and streams. Primarily pale yellow and black above, with blue wings and tail and red under the tail. Usually observed in pairs or small groups, generally difficult to find. Call is a clear double note (often repeated); also gives chattering, rattling calls.

Golden-shouldered Parrot (Psephotellus chrysopterygius) is a rare bird of southern Cape York Peninsula, in Queensland, Australia. It is 23cm-28cm long. The male is mainly blue and has yellow over the shoulder area, a black cap and pale yellow frontal band. It has a dark salmon pink lower belly, thighs and undertail-coverts and a grey-brown lower back.

Musk Lorikeet (Glossopsitta concinna) is 22cm long and is mainly green. It is identified by its red forehead, blue crown and a distinctive yellow band on its wing. Both upper and lower mandibles of the beak are red at the tip and darker near its base. It is common throughout southeastern Australia where it prefers dry forests and woodlands and is often found in city parks.
