Basic calf raises are a fine starting point for ankle health,but THERE’S MORE NEEDED esp if you run/play sports!

This muscle is a PRIME mover & Calf raises at different positions relating to more specific angles (i.e. sprinting, running) are key for proper pre, we now know we can actually stress parts of the calf & plantar fascia with different joint angles.

Why is this cool? 
 • -Exercise selection gets that much more precise in to building the ideal plan for someone and their injury (plantar fascia, medial gastroc)

-Midportion achilles pain needs to be loaded to rehab - and deeper angles with external load can make that happen for better long-term outcomes.

A tight and/or weak calf that inhibits full ankle dorsiflexion can be a contributor to a HOST of foot and ankle issues includ
