Here are some tips to master jumping rope! 
 • If you’ve never jumped rope before or if it’s been a long time, just start jumping in place WITHOUT a rope. 
 • Hold the rope in your hands at about hip level & keep a relaxed grip. Elbows stay in close to the body. 
 • You move the rope by rotating your wrists…not the entire arm. There is very little movement in the upper body & arms. 
 • Barely jump off the floor…maybe only an inch or so…your feet should hardly leave the floor. 
 • Work on timing and jumping to the beat of music…
 • Practice, practice, practice! 

I usually do jump rope intervals of :30-:60 and pair it with some sort of upper body conditioning. When I miss, I usually add on :05 to my interval!
