Rice Instructions :
 • * measure over 2 cups of rice ( you will lose some grains in the process )
 • * Wash rice throughly 6-7 times till water is clear. 
 • * Prep your large wide set pot with 2 tbsp of oil on medium heat. 
 • * Add your washed rice, then mix in oil to coat the rice. 
 • * Add 3 cups of water. ( water should be an inch over your rice )
 • * Salt and season generously. 
 • * Don’t place the lid on till your rice starts boiling. Once it does put your lid on and place the heat on low. 
 • * It’s important to NOT open the pot when it’s cooking, this will bring air in and this is how rice can become mushy or hard. 
 • * Allow the rice to cook for 15 minutes, your water should have evaporated. Flip the bottom of the rice onto the top and create a dome shape out of the rice b

Method.  1. In a large 24cm wide saucepan add the brown rice.   2. Fill the saucepan with 6 - 7 cups of cold water. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.   3. Ingredients 
 • 2 cups Basmati rice or long-grain white rice 
 • 4 cups boiling water

1 teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS
 • 1. Place rice and salt into a 20cm diameter pot. Add boiling water and bring to a boil.
 • 2. Once it begins to boil, reduce to low heat and simmer for 6 minutes, without the lid on. 
 • 3. When the majority of the liquid has been absorbed and the surface of the rice is bubbly, place the lid on, and then turn off the heat, and allow it to steam for 14-15 minutes. Do not lift the lid to check. 
 • 4. Fluff using a rice paddle or fork and serve.
