Off they go! These two gorgeous, smaller handmade ceramic trees are headed to their forever homes. The first, in a beautiful soft green, with mother-of-pearl, crystal lights and a stunning snowflake topper. The second, a rich, textured green beauty, with mother of pearl and gold touch branches. Dressed up with classic red crystal lights and a sparkling bow. So happy they found their forever homes! 🎄

Yesterday I shared a clip of me back on the wheel (rare sight these days!). I made four bases, but realized after the fact I grabbed stoneware clay instead of porcelain. At the end you’ll see my one porcelain attempt… it didn’t make it. 😅 If I do go with porcelain bases, they’ll definitely have to be handbuilt. Haven’t touched the potter’s wheel in years… and let’s just say it’s not like riding a bike 😅. I made a porcelain base for a tree, but porcelain is so tricky—soft, wobbly, and hard to throw. The base turned out fine, but my wrists (and my heart!) are much happier with handbuilding.
