Polyphemus, son of Poseidon, was also angry with Odysseus for blinding him.

Epic Setting- One example of an epic setting is the inside Polyphemus' cave. Odysseus and his men are trapped there for quite some time, alone and terrified. But even in the most epic settings, Odysseus is a quick thinking, clever, strategist. Who else would have created an ingenious plan to blind Polyphemus and escape on the bellies of his rams?

Polyphemus is the one-eyed giant son of Poseidon and Thoosa in greek mythology, one of the cyclopes described in the Odyssey. His name means "abounding in songs and legends". The satyr play of Euripides is dependent on this episode apart from one detail; for comic effect, Polyphemus is made a pederast in the play. The Cyclops were gigantic one-eyed monsters. The most famous is Polyphemus, the Cyclops blinded by Odysseus. The Cyclops are generally mentioned as the sons of Uranus and Gaea, but Homer speaks of Polyphemus, the chief of the Cyclops, as the son of Poseid
