SmartThings has two types of notifications: traditional notifications that appear in your Notification panel and activity notifications that appear in the SmartThings app. You can manage both types of notifications depending on what you'd like to see.

Determine your notification preferences.
Sometimes SmartThings will send notifications to your Galaxy phone's Notification panel. For example, if your smart hub becomes disconnected, you may receive a notification about it. You can turn notifications on or off based on your preferences.

Tap the Settings icon (the gear), and then tap the switch next to Notifications to turn them on or off.

View your messages.
Tap Messages. From this screen, you can view messages from the past couple of days. Tap the Location drop-down menu to view messages from different locations.

Edit what messages you see.
To edit what messages appear in your feed, tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Hide or unhide. Check or uncheck the different message categories based on your preferences.
