About SGP

So Good Productions is a filmmaking collective consisting of Zachary Bakken, Cameron Duncan, and Ethan Nelson. As a brand, SGP focuses on genre based narrative storytelling with a fresh and exciting creative direction. With over a decade of experience at various levels of production, the team has refined its skillset and developed a unique voice for the big screen.

The team entered 2021 at a major crossroads - was this going to continue to be a hobby or were they going to pursue it as a profession? Their answer was found in the project "A John Hughes Jawn" (2021). The short film, ironically enough dealing with the idea of facing one’s future, helped solidify their commitment to turning passion into profession.

In the past year, SGP has been as productive as ever, with the collective writing, producing, and releasing three short films. With a new project "The Ant" to be released in 2025, and several other stories in development, the team looks forward to pursuing their dream and celebrating their journey.

The story of SGP begins with a familiar experience - an old Kodak camcorder and an instinctual call to hit record. As childhood friends, the three bonded over a number of things, but in particular a growing love for storytelling through a visual medium. The early and mid 2010s saw them make countless short-form videos, small commercial work, and more involved narrative shorts.

The 2020’s have since been an era of professional indie productions. "Welcome to Hollywood" (2022) was the group’s biggest swing yet, a dramatic satire and huge learning experience. The dark comedy heist, "How’s Your Day Going?" (2023), reflects the team’s increasingly defined creative vision through its energy and tone. More recently, the experimental adventure film, "TRiP" (2024), pushed the envelope with bold visuals and complex characters.
