By weighing the advantages and limitations of each tier, you can make a well-informed decision to help your organization succeed. monday.com provides five distinct plans: Free, Basic, Standard, Pro, and Enterprise. Let's explore the key differences between these plans to determine which one aligns best for you.
Free Plan
The Free Plan is...
for individuals or small teams just starting with monday.com. It supports up to two users and includes three boards, unlimited docs, more than 200 templates, eight column types for customizing boards, and mobile apps for both iOS and Android. While limited in scope, it provides a solid foundation to explore the platform's capabilities without any financial commitment. **Pros:** - **No cost:** Ideal for those on a tight budget or testing the waters with project management software. - **Ample resources:** Despite being free, it offers a generous number of docs, templates, and column types to work with. - **Mobile accessibility:** Users can manage their projects on the go with the included mobile apps. **Cons:** - **User restrictions:** With only two seats available, it may not accommodate larger teams or growing businesses. - **Board limitations:** Being restricted to three boards can be limiting, especially when handling multiple projects. - **Lack of advanced features:** Users may outgrow the Free Plan as they require more sophisticated functionalities. **Basic Plan** The Basic Plan is a budget-friendly option for small teams, priced at $9 per seat per month (billed annually). It builds upon the Free Plan by offering unlimited free viewers, items, and 5GB of file storage. Additionally, users can create a dashboard based on a single board and receive prioritized customer support. **Pros:** - **Affordable pricing:** At just $9 per seat, it provides a cost-effective solution for budget-conscious teams. - **Expanded collaboration:** Unlimited free viewers allow for better collaboration and information sharing. - **Increased storage:** The 5GB file storage capacity supports the management of more substantial projects. **Cons:** - **Limited dashboards:** With only one board per dashboard, users may find gaining a comprehensive overview of multiple projects challenging. - **No timeline or calendar views:** The absence of these features can hinder project planning and scheduling. - **Restricted automations and integrations:** The Basic Plan does not include these time-saving capabilities. **Standard Plan** The Standard Plan, at $12 per seat per month (billed annually), introduces timeline and Gantt views, calendar views, guest access, and the ability to create dashboards combining up to five boards. It also includes automations and integrations, each with a monthly allowance of 250 actions. **Pros:** - **Enhanced visualization:** Timeline, Gantt, and calendar views provide multiple ways to track and manage projects. - **Guest access:** External stakeholders can be invited to collaborate on specific projects or tasks. - **Improved dashboards:** Combining up to 5 boards in a single dashboard offers a more comprehensive project overview. **Cons:** - **Limited automations and integrations:** The 250 monthly actions may not suffice for teams with complex workflows or numerous integrations. - **No private boards:** Sensitive information cannot be restricted to specific team members. - **Lack of advanced features:** Time tracking, formula columns, and other sophisticated functionalities are not included. **Pro Plan** The Pro Plan is priced at $19 per seat per month (billed annually). It includes all Standard Plan features and adds private boards, chart view, time tracking, and formula columns. Automations and integrations are significantly expanded from the Standard Plan to 25,000 actions per month, and dashboards can combine up to 20 boards. **Pros:** - **Advanced features:** Time tracking, formula columns, and chart view provide varied tools for project management and data analysis. - **Increased privacy:** Private boards ensure that sensitive information is only accessible to authorized team members. - **Extensive automations and integrations:** The allowance of 25,000 actions per month supports complex workflows and numerous integrations. **Cons:** - **Higher cost:** At $19 per seat, it may strain the budgets of smaller organizations or those with large teams. **Enterprise Plan** The Enterprise Plan is tailored for large organizations with complex needs. Pricing is available upon request. It includes all Pro Plan features and offers enterprise-scale automations and integrations (250,000 actions per month), multi-level permissions, advanced security and governance, customized reporting and analytics, personalized onboarding, and priority support. Dashboards can combine up to 50 boards. **Pros:** - **Scalability:** Designed to accommodate the needs of large enterprises with extensive resources and complex projects. - **Granular control:** Multi-level permissions and advanced security and governance ensure that access to sensitive information is tightly regulated. - **Tailored experience:** Customized reporting, analytics, and onboarding cater to the unique requirements of each organization. **Cons:** - **Complexity:** The wide array of features and customization options may require substantial training and support to fully use. - **Potential overkill:** Smaller organizations may find the Enterprise Plan's capabilities exceed their needs and budget. **Conclusion** monday.com has a range of options designed to cater to businesses of various sizes and needs. **For startups and small teams:** The Free Plan and Basic Plan are great starting points for small teams. While the Free Plan offers essential features at no cost, its limitations may be quickly outgrown. The Basic Plan provides more flexibility and storage capacity without a significant financial commitment. **For growing businesses and established teams:** The Standard and Pro Plans deliver good bang for the buck for growing teams. With advanced features like Timeline and Gantt views, automations, and integrations, these plans help teams manage their workflows and boost productivity. The Pro Plan, in particular, is a popular choice for teams of 10-30 users with its comprehensive feature set and generous automation allowances. **Enterprise-level organizations:** The Enterprise Plan is geared toward large-scale businesses. With enterprise-grade security, advanced reporting, and dedicated support, this plan aims to support numerous complex workflows and demanding teams. However, price could become an issue depending on requirements and team size. Ultimately, the choice of plan depends on factors such as team size, feature requirements, and budget. By carefully evaluating these aspects and aligning them with the appropriate pricing tier, you can leverage monday.com to enhance your operational efficiency. As the business grows, it's important to reassess these needs periodically and adjust the plan accordingly to support continued growth and success.monday.com Features

Although I didn't PERSONALLY pay for Monday, I worked for clients who were only making $100,000/year to clients who were multi-million dollar companies and Monday worked (and was affordable) for BOTH! Anytime a client is looking for a CRM or project management tool Monday is always my first suggestion.
