Paint Landscape and Seascapes!
May 23-29th & May 29-31st, 2026

Instructor: Denise Antaya

Location: Cooperage

Description:

As a painter, have you ever considered visiting Newfoundland and Labrador and wondered how to access its stunning landscapes?

I ask this because I have teamed up with an extraordinary Canadian photographer, Pete Ryan, a long-time contributor to National Geographic, to offer a photography and plein-air workshops in eastern Newfoundland. Now, imagine travelling with a National Geographic photographer as your guide—someone who understands light and when to be at specific locations for optimal light!

This is a unique opportunity to explore quintessential locations and expand your artistic vision. Pete has travelled extensively across North America, including the Canadian High Arctic. During his time capturing breathtaking landscapes in northern Labrador, he shared with me that locals invited him to discover even more stunning sights, saying (paraphrasing), "You think that's cool? Come with me." Venturing into the hinterland revealed awe-inspiring views in places few people visit.

If you're eager to discover new inspiration and grow as an artist, this workshop offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect with beautiful landscapes and like-minded creatives. You know you want to do this, so why delay any longer? I invite you to join us and experience Newfoundland and Labrador firsthand.
