In a February 2025 study from NASA's Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy, the agency set the bandwidth budget for streaming 4K video from the lunar surface during the Artemis missions. The study named two needs in writing. Lower bitrate 4K. And encoders capable of heavily compressing video at low size, weight, and power. A year later, Artemis II started downlinking its first 4K test footage to Earth. The challenge NASA wrote about is now live. On Earth, the same problem shows up at smaller scale every day. A single 4K camera at default bitrate runs 24.36 Mbps. Multiply that by a city's worth of cameras, and the network buckles before storage does. In our live demo at PreciseFrame, the same 4K 30fps stream runs at less than 1 Mbps with no loss in clarity. The same software runs on off-the-shelf CPUs without a GPU, optimises the stream live, and integrates with existing cameras and any VMS. Scaled to 1,000 streams, our demo dashboard shows tens of gigabits per second of bandwidth freed. The lunar version still needs a space-rated encoder. We don't make one of those. The terrestrial version is already solved. Default bitrates are not laws of physics. They are laws of habit. If you're working on the Earth-side of this problem, reach out. So I took a short-form content course by Edi Liang to work on this. Now I’m practising by turning some of my past side projects into more intentional, narrative-driven videos, while also exploring new content formats to build my personal brand. For anyone seeing this for the first time, this is a virtual engagement ring try-on prototype I built after my then-girlfriend, now fiancé, mentioned she couldn’t find a radiant-cut ring to try in stores. I explored hand tracking in Lens Studio, real-time sizing, and ring customization to see how it could work. I’ve shown an early version before, but this edit reflects my effort to tell the story a little better. Because in the past 9 months I went through a profound transformation myself, from a "traditional" product manager, able to align and coordinate and lead teams towards the release of a product, to actually build and deploy applications myself. I have always been "hands-on" even in my executive role at MoneySmart I have always enjoyed building things and for years the best I could do was to use "Low Code" tools but deep inside of me I admired engineers for their ability to create software by simply writing code. yeah pimp up GET, or change the verb from QUERY to something else.. while query sounds right in English a query in engineering context can be used across all CRUD. maybe READ? but then again we have GET already..

Roles are evolving in real time, information is infinite, and expertise now has a much shorter shelf life. Which means education can no longer just transfer knowledge. It has to build judgment, adaptability, and the ability to learn continuously. Last Friday, we hosted our first AI in Education roundtable in collaboration with Workato. The conversation wasn’t just about AI tools. It was about something deeper: What does education mean to you/your stakeholders? A few takeaways that stayed with me: Learning is no longer a destination. It’s a practice. We keep asking: “What should we train people on?” The more important question is: “How do we help people learn continuously?” Discernment may be the most important skill now. With AI, information access is no longer the constraint. Judgment is. Can people tell what’s accurate, misleading, or subtly off? Can they recognise when to trust AI and when to override it? The way we process information has fundamentally changed. We increasingly live in bubbles shaped by what we see online. Add AI into that without discernment and we become increasingly vulnerable to confident but shallow thinking. Building capability today means helping people think across their bubbles, seek different perspectives, and question their sources. That’s why conversations like this matter. We need to pause and ask: Are we building what actually matters? Massive gratitude to Lavanya and Ee Shan for believing in this conversation and bringing it to life as well as to the 13 leaders who showed up with honesty, curiosity, and vulnerability. That’s what makes meaningful change possible. Because in an AI-driven world, the advantage may not be speed. It may be the ability to think clearly.
