Big update gone wrong. Recently, we launched one of Astravue’s biggest upgrades ever New architecture + latest frontend version. The goal is to improve speed, stability, and scalability. We tested heavily. We delayed the release to be safe. We thought we covered everything. But two critical issues still slipped through. What happened next mattered more than the bug itself: 1. We owned the problem immediately. 2. Communicated openly with customers. 3. Treated it as the highest priority. 4. Rolled out a fix within a day. Lesson learned: No amount of preparation guarantees perfection. But quick response, transparency, and accountability can turn a setback into a trust-building moment. Built this morning: A one-page Executive Summary tab for developers to show investor partners exactly what matters -- without digging through a 15-tab model. Goal: Clarity + quick scenario testing for waterfall/partnership structures Design rules I'm following: 1 - One screen, no scrolling; inputs left, outputs right. 2 - Every KPI reconciles to cash (waterfall = truth table). 3 - Color means something: blue = input, black = calc 4 - Only 5 KPIs an IC or LP actually quotes: IRR, EMx, payback, equity in, pref earned Why it matters: Investor meetings stall when the model cannot answer three questions fast -- how much goes in? When do I get it back? How is risk shared?
