Allen Pike shared thisIt's interesting how different coding agents give varying affordances for what happens when you type to a coding agent that's in-progress. Codex now offers to have your message "steer" the agent, which joins "interrupt", "queue", and "btw side-question" as different yet genuinely useful ways to message a working agent.

Shawn O'Neill Specializing in terms of prompts for sure – guardrail agents that flag or protect against certain anti-patterns from being merged, for example. Our current pipeline doesn't have specific stages other than "Initial issue/prompt, in progress, agent review, human review, ready to deploy" though.

It’s fascinating. For a few tasks, experts who understand the latest models will concede “this task is cooked” but for most knowledge work, those closest to the task best understand the flaws in the current models AND highly rate how important it is to maintain the standards of quality they’re used to.

There are plenty of good, kind humans who are sloppy operators and bad at business, because being good at business is very hard. I have no love for anything Elon Musk did to Twitter -- he's a fucking bully. But Twitter's leaders built a cushy, bloated, wonderful place to work that could not execute, and it was only a matter of time before someone took the reins out of their hands. If we want to remain in leadership, if we want to set the culture and the tone and take the ethical stances we believe in, we have to *win at business*. New advice column up now at Stack Overflow.
