If you've activated ROI reporting on your Sales Navigator account here are some frequently asked questions to help you understand more about the scope and data privacy of this feature.
ROI reporting shares data as part of the standard CRM sync with Sales Navigator. Our security whitepaper provides a list of all objects and fields synced.
The ROI report includes an aggregate-level view of how selling via Sales Navigator and LinkedIn impacts the business closed by your reps. The following aggregated metrics are available through ROI Reporting:
- Number of connections made on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
- Number of profiles viewed on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
- Number of accounts viewed on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
- Number of accounts saved in Sales Navigator
- Number of leads saved in Sales Navigator
- Number of InMail messages sent in Sales Navigator
- Number of public social engagements on LinkedIn.com (likes, comments, and shares)
Important to know
ROI reporting includes Sales Navigator activities like account and lead searches, Add Notes, and View Lists. As part of ROI reports, you can also view opportunities influenced by Sales Navigator users who own leads/contacts associated with closed or won opportunities.
No, your LinkedIn account representatives won't have access to your company's CRM data. LinkedIn employs strict access control policies and LinkedIn holds itself to high standards of integrity in handling intellectual property. Our collection and use of member data and customer related data is governed by LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.
Your LinkedIn account representatives won’t have access to any absolute revenue data. Only the percentage of revenue that’s influenced by use of Sales Navigator is included as part of the report.
Your LinkedIn account representatives won’t have access to your full list of customers. To help identify best practices based on your users' Sales Navigator activity, a small sample of deals will be shared with the LinkedIn account representative.
To disable ROI reporting:

Click Admin at the top of the page.

Click the Admin Settings tab at the top of the page.

Click ROI Reporting on the left rail or scroll down and click Change to the right of ROI Reporting.

Switch the toggle to the left to disable ROI Reporting.
