You may see the option to import Gmail contacts in your notifications, feed, or People You May Know section in the My Network tab. You’ll see this option only when you sign up or sign in using a Google account
When you import contacts, LinkedIn runs a one-time upload of your Gmail contacts which includes their names and email addresses.
