  • 🚗 What if every drive could help make roads safer – for everyone?   Real traffic is complex. Interactions with pedestrians, cyclists or dense urban situations often cannot be fully replicated in simulations or test environments. That is why the Volkswagen Group is taking the next step in its commitment to road safety across Europe. Starting in January 2026, we plan to roll out a Europe-wide initiative across around 40 countries to further optimize driver assistance and automated driving functions. With explicit customer consent, sensor and image data from real driving situations will help our engineers make systems more precise, smoother and better aligned with everyday driving reality.   Why does this matter? Because assistance systems only improve safety when they are trusted, perceived as supportive – and therefore remain activated. Learning from real-world data helps us move closer to Vision Zero: zero fatalities and serious injuries on the road. 🛣️   Our guiding principles: Customer choice comes first. Participation is voluntary and consent can be withdrawn at any time.Purpose-driven data use. Data is only triggered in specific safety-relevant situations and used exclusively to improve driver assistance systems.Privacy by design. No identification of individuals, no facial recognition, full compliance with European and national data protection regulations. 🔐Innovation in mobility is not just about technology. It is about responsibility, transparency and trust – while creating real benefits for society.   👉 Watch the video #VolkswagenGroup #AutomotiveTechDriver

  • 👉 Volkswagen Group deliveries to customers remained stable in 2025 in a challenging environment.   Marco Schubert, Member of the Volkswagen Group’s Extended Executive Committee for Sales, comments on the results: 💬 “Our attractive products were the basis for a solid delivery performance in 2025 – even under very challenging conditions. In particular, the intense competitive situation in China, as well as tariffs and the discontinuation of electric vehicle subsidies in the US have impacted our business. At the same time, we further strengthened our strong position in Europe despite new competitors. The same applies to South America, where we also gained market share. We are especially pleased with the dynamic growth of our all-electric vehicles. Global BEV deliveries rose by more than 30 percent, and in Europe by more than 60 percent. With our new models across all drive types, we are meeting customer tastes and are well positioned for 2026.”   A big thank you to our customers around the world for their trust in our strong brands and iconic products.   🚀 Stay tuned for 20+ new models across our brands this year – including the Electric Urban Car Family in Europe and important new electric models in China.   Which Volkswagen Group vehicle is your favorite? #AutomotiveTechDriver
