Congratulations to ThruDark Ambassador Aldo Kane who has set a new world record for the highest recorded marathon in history. It took around 10 hours to climb to the summit of Ojos Del salado at 6,893 metres in elevation, the highest volcano on Earth. From there the team completed the highest marathon ever recorded. In order to complete this record feat, Aldo wore items from our Mountain Pro range, Force Activewear and the indomitable Bastion Jacket which has fast become a staple of extreme cold weather endeavours from Arctic Ultramarathons to mountain tops and now the highest volcano on earth. Leading from the front. Co-Founder Anthony Stazicker CGC has been supporting the FA Academy Leaders course as part of a bid to enhance the skills of the next generation of coaches. Facilitated by the elite coaching team at Waktu. Staz' component of the course focuses on adaptive leadership drawing upon experience from his time in the UK's military elite as well as his record breaking experience on Mount Everest. As with any course, theory meets practice and what begins with a keynote talk ends with time spent out in the hills finding out what these future leaders are made of with physical challenges including cold water immersion.
