Our organization is operated by motivated volunteers who are accomplished in the digital forensics community. AWFE Instructor Spotlight — Orlando 2026 🔍 Next up in our AWFE spotlight: Ben Lord. Ben’s digital forensics career took off in 2019 when he was selected as the Will Docken Scholarship recipient. While completing his bachelor’s degree at Iowa State University, Ben combined a background in Computer Science with a growing interest in Criminal Justice. He began his law enforcement career with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa City, working jail, patrol, and general investigator assignments before specializing in digital forensics. During his time on patrol, he focused on intoxicated driving enforcement and served as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). Shortly after earning his CFCE, Ben’s agency partnered with surrounding agencies to form the Joint Forensic Analysis Cyber Team (JFACT), which processes digital evidence for Eastern Iowa. This collaboration—built in large part on the value of IACIS techniques and tools—has had a significant impact on the investigation of major crimes and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) cases throughout the region. Ben holds an MS in Digital Forensics from Champlain College and an MA in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University. His certifications include CAWFE and ICMDE (IACIS), CFME (SUMURI), EnCE (OpenText), and A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, and CySA+ from CompTIA. We’re excited to have Ben bringing his regional task force experience, deep technical skillset, and passion for IACIS methodology to AWFE in Orlando 2026. More instructor spotlights coming soon!

MFTT Instructor Spotlight — Orlando 2026 📱🔍 Next up in our Mobile Forensic Tools & Techniques spotlight: Jung Son. Jung is a Principal Electronic Forensic Investigator with the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) in Auckland, New Zealand. He specializes in digital forensic investigations involving evidence acquisition and analysis, malware analysis, reporting, and expert witness testimony in complex, high-stakes matters. Before joining the SFO, Jung worked across New Zealand Police, local government, the education sector, and private IT industry roles, building broad investigative experience in: • Serious and complex financial crime • Corruption • Computer misuse and web server intrusions • Mobile device forensics • Cryptocurrency-related investigations If data leaves a trail, Jung enjoys finding it. Jung serves as an international trainer with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), where he has instructed Advanced Windows Forensics (WFE) and Mobile Device Forensics (MDF). He is also the Chair of the IACIS Mobile Certification Program, helping shape the next generation of mobile forensic practitioners worldwide. In addition, Jung is a part-time lecturer at Unitec Institute of Technology, where he has taught Digital Forensic Analysis Techniques and continues to deliver guest lectures in Computer Forensic Investigations. Outside of digital investigations, Jung enjoys tennis and golf—and has discovered that parenting requires more problem-solving than even the most complex forensic case. AWFE Instructor Spotlight — Orlando 2026 ✨ Next up in our instructor spotlight for Orlando 2026: Morganne Hutchinson! Morganne brings over 3.5 years of professional experience in Digital Forensics, beginning her career with the Alaska State Troopers Digital Forensics Lab as a civilian Forensic Scientist – Digital. She later relocated to Washington State, where she currently serves as a civilian Digital Forensic Analyst with the Lacey Police Department. A member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) since 2023, Morganne holds the CFCE, CAWFE, and ICMDE certifications and is entering her second year as an instructor for the Advanced Windows Forensic Examiner (AWFE) course. Her practical, real-world experience in the lab translates directly into the classroom, making her a valuable resource for students diving deep into Windows forensics. Morganne earned her bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics and Information Assurance from Marshall University in West Virginia. When she’s not in the lab, you’ll likely find her cheering on the Seattle Seahawks or Kraken, experimenting with new cooking and baking recipes, or enjoying the outdoors while walking and hiking with her dog, Mochi 🐾 We’re excited to have Morganne back in Orlando for 2026—stay tuned for more instructor spotlights coming soon!

OSINT Instructor Spotlight — Orlando 2026 🌐🔍 Jessica Stutzman is the Chair of the IACIS OSINT program. She is an Open-Source Intelligence expert and doctoral candidate in Strategic Intelligence, focusing on human-AI relationships in the intelligence sector. She has over 16 years of combined HUMINT and OSINT experience. She is the President of Pangea Research, a disabled veteran woman-owned business specializing in investigative intelligence, training, and analytical support for government, law enforcement, and corporate clients. Jessica has led and supported international investigations in human trafficking, narcotics smuggling, and terrorism, and serves as an Open-Source Investigations Expert for the United Nations. She is an active volunteer for the OSINT Foundation and a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE). We’re thrilled to have Jessica leading OSINT instruction in Orlando 2026, bringing deep expertise, real-world experience, and forward-thinking insight to the classroom.
