  • We’re now a certified Disability Confident Employer (Level 2), part of a government-backed scheme supporting employers to recruit, retain and develop disabled people and those with health conditions. The scheme encourages organisations to keep improving how we remove barriers, make recruitment processes accessible, and create environments where everyone can do their best work. It’s designed as an ongoing journey rather than a one-off accreditation, which reflects how we think about building an inclusive culture for all of our co-owners. We’re currently hiring across a few roles: • Data and Analytics Engineer • Digital Marketing Consultant • Paid Media Specialist We actively encourage applications from disabled candidates and are committed to making our recruitment process accessible. If you need adjustments at any stage, just let us know, we’re always happy to chat. • Over the past year, Meta’s advertising restrictions have been a major concern for many charities. We’ve been working with our clients to rethink campaign set-ups, measurement, and supporter acquisition, whether they’ve already been affected or want to reduce future risk. If this challenge sounds familiar, our upcoming webinar explores how email lead generation can offer a practical alternative, combining paid activity with structured nurture journeys that build supporter bases you actually own. Join us on 26 March at 2pm (Zoom) as we share: • The Meta changes: what’s restricted and who it affects • Why email is a big growth opportunity for charities • A proven lead gen model: ads → email → supporters • Costs & returns: budgets, results, ROI • Getting CRM-ready before you invest • Clear pricing options to build your case We'd love for you and any friends/colleagues to join us. • Torchbox reposted this

Back in November, Torchbox, the UK based digital agency (and maker of the Wagtail CMS content management system), adopted our carbon.txt project to make their sustainability reporting more transparent and discoverable - ensuring that their yearly Impact Reports, their Sustainability Policy, and information about their website’s digital emissions are available in a single, discoverable location. As a certified B-Corp, reporting this information publicly is necessary for their certification, but also has lots of other benefits - it makes their sustainability data available to automated tools, partners, clients, and anyone with an interest. They wrote this blog post about their experience of adopting carbon.txt and their motivations for doing so: https://lnkd.in/duJXpdt8 You can read more about how to adopt carbon.txt in your own organization in the comments!

  • Some Wagtail CMS features deserve a disco moment. Autosave is one of them! 🪩 Meagen’s latest demo kicks off with autosave in Wagtail 7.3, where your changes are saved as you work, with clear feedback in the editor. It works alongside existing features like concurrent editing notifications and page history, so teams can edit confidently without losing track of changes. She also runs through other updates in Wagtail 7.3, including: • Improved image management, with a new list layout, clearer usage information, and sortable columns to make it easier to review and clean up image libraries • StreamField block settings, giving editors more control while letting developers keep the interface tidy with collapsible options • A set of UI improvements that make day-to-day content work smoother Support for LLM-friendly documentation formats, making it easier to use Wagtail docs and user guides with AI tools Head to YouTube to see the full demo: https://lnkd.in/eKJjbtBg We’ll also cover Wagtail 7.3 in What’s New in Wagtail this May - keep an eye out for more details. [Video description: Meagen speaks directly to the camera, wearing glasses and a dark T-shirt, with bookshelves in the background. As she introduces Wagtail 7.3, a disco light effect appears on screen and she lifts her hands to dance briefly, smiling as she celebrates the new release.] #WagtailCMS #OpenSource

Our CEO, James Leavesley, recently joined Trenton Moss on the Human Powered podcast to talk about our journey from founder-led to 100% employee-owned. The conversation explores how that shift has shaped our culture, and our approach to innovation, investment and long-term impact. Together, they discuss: • What “high performance” looks like at Torchbox, focusing on outcomes and impact for clients, and why collaboration matters when you’re working across complex systems • How leadership evolves as organisations scale, including the move from intuitive decision-making to clearer processes and shared ownership • Why transparency with context is so important, especially during periods of uncertainty • How employee ownership creates the freedom for us to reinvest in our people, Wagtail CMS, and innovation • How we're supporting experimentation in practice, including match-funding AI proofs of concept with charities that want to test emerging ideas safely Give it a listen: https://lnkd.in/eCYza-hC #Culture #EmployeeOwned #Agency

  • Update: our Meta restrictions webinar has been rescheduled. Due to a few unforeseen circumstances, the session will now take place on Wednesday 26 March at 2pm. If you’re already signed up, you should have received an updated calendar invite. And if you’re not yet registered, there’s now plenty of time to join us. Over the past year, Meta’s restrictions have pushed many charities to rethink how they approach supporter acquisition. In this session, we’ll focus on one practical alternative we’re seeing work well: email-led lead generation, supported by paid media and structured nurture journeys. In the webinar, Sam and Marnie will share: • The Meta changes: what’s restricted and who it affects • Why email is a big growth opportunity for charities • A proven lead gen model: ads → email → supporters • Costs & returns: budgets, results, ROI • Getting CRM-ready before you invest • Clear pricing options to build your case 📅 26 March, 2pm (Zoom) In the meantime, you can catch up on Helen’s recent blog, which explores how charities are using lead generation to build supporter bases, including a real example from Street Child.
