𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝟯 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲? Remote work isn't just a perk in web3—it's the default. Our latest data shows 75% of active web3 jobs (500+ listings) are fully remote, with top roles like Affiliate Managers and Senior Product Designers leading the charge. But how much salary would you sacrifice for location freedom? Let's explore the tradeoffs. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: • 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲: Binance, Crypto.com, and Galaxy Digital dominate listings, with Compliance Analysts (+22% WoW) showing strongest remote demand • 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀: Some hybrid roles offer 10-15% premiums over fully remote equivalents—especially in BD and legal functions • 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀: 68% of remote-first web3 companies still adjust pay based on location (vs. 92% in web2) 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀: 1. 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺: If taking an office/hybrid role, push for 15-20% above market rates 2. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀: Ask directly if pay scales with location—42% of web3 companies don't disclose this upfront 3. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗔𝗢 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝘀: Fully remote contributor roles often pay in stablecoins/USD with no location adjustments Poll: Would you accept a 10% lower salary for full remote freedom? 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗔𝗢 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀? DAOs promised a revolution in organizational transparency—yet compensation for governance contributors remains one of the least standardized aspects of decentralized work. While 75% of web3 jobs are remote (per our latest board data), salary ranges for DAO roles often exist in a black box. Here’s what our research reveals about who gets paid, how much, and why it matters. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: • Only 23% of major DAOs publish clear compensation frameworks for governance contributors (e.g., working group leads, delegates). • The median annual compensation for full-time DAO governance roles falls between $90K-$150K—but ranges from $0 (volunteer) to $500K+ (foundation-aligned roles). • Transparency correlates with maturity: DAOs like Uniswap, Gitcoin, and ENS publish detailed compensation bands, while newer entities often rely on opaque "DM for details" practices. • Top-paid roles mirror traditional org structures (Product, Legal, Growth) despite DAOs’ flat hierarchy claims. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: Opacity creates two systemic risks: 1) Talent drain: Skilled contributors leave when compensation feels arbitrary or inequitable. 2) Centralization creep: Shadow negotiations favor insiders with existing networks. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗔𝗢𝘀: • Publish standardized role tiers (e.g., "Core Contributor Level 3" = $120K-$140K) • Benchmark against public data (we maintain updated web3 salary ranges here) • Implement quadratic voting for compensation proposals to reduce whale influence 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: • Always request compensation frameworks before accepting governance roles • Negotiate in public channels (e.g., forum posts) to set precedents • Leverage our Web3 Salaries Guide to benchmark offers The future of DAOs depends on equitable compensation. Transparency isn’t just ethical—it’s a competitive advantage in attracting top talent. Read the full guide: https://lnkd.in/ghrgFZr3

𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝟯 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝗫 Product design in web3 isn't just about pixels and prototypes—it's about bridging the gap between complex blockchain mechanics and intuitive user experiences. With 75% of web3 jobs being remote and Senior Product Designer ranking among the top 5 most in-demand roles (500+ active listings), here's how the best in the field structure their day. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝟯 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: • 𝟴𝗔𝗠-𝟭𝟬𝗔𝗠: Protocol deep dives. Unlike web2, designers audit smart contract docs or DAO proposals first thing—e.g., understanding gas fee mechanics before redesigning a DeFi dashboard. • 𝟭𝟬𝗔𝗠-𝟭𝟮𝗣𝗠: Cross-functional syncs. 70% of web3 design roles require collaboration with Solidity devs on frontend constraints (like wallet pop-up flows) and governance token holders. • 𝟭𝟮𝗣𝗠-𝟮𝗣𝗠: User testing with a twist. Web3 designers test with both crypto-natives and newcomers—critical when onboarding the next 100M users. • 𝟮𝗣𝗠-𝟰𝗣𝗠: DAO community engagement. Leading designers actively participate in governance forums (e.g., Snapshot votes) to align UX with stakeholder incentives. • 𝟰𝗣𝗠-𝟲𝗣𝗠: Design system updates. Modular components for multi-chain compatibility (EVM vs. Cosmos SDK apps) are now standard in Figma libraries. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝟯 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: 1. Master wallet UX patterns—90% of drop-offs happen at connection points 2. Build a public portfolio with case studies on onboarding flows or gas fee visualization 3.
